to have many fashionable clothes or accessorize,
If any of these desires define your long-term goals, then let me ask one last question!
Do you often feel like you are not progressing anywhere substantial???
I did feel it at a time. Then I read this book, “The 4-hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss” which made me revisit and revise so many of my desires which also took away the feeling of unworthiness.
Let me first tell you my dear friend, there are 195 countries, 7 continents and approximately 4500 big cities in the world. Unless you are going to keep up this resolution of travelling each of these, don’t set yourself up for a failure.
Go for it!!
This money can range from billions of dollars to a couple of thousands. Also, the same money can certainly help you buy the “exposure-to-experience” but to truly experience something, you need to have a spirit, which more or less gets sucked up running in this rat race.
So Either you can finish chasing a billion and then become happy Or have some yearly achievable/challenging goals and reward yourself before outstretching over-the-hill phase where you are that fat old man with the Red Ferrari.
When I read this story, I realized how I have been asking for guidance and path without even defining my destination. The vagueness in dreams or goals leads you to only one place and that is “Nowhere”. That can’t mean you should pin point every stop, every one-way road, every detour or every motivational gas station in your metaphorical map.
That just means define a realistic goal for yourself which might help you achieve unrealistic things.
4- You don’t need a constant exterior motivation.
3- Where will you spend your achievement.
Have a precision, don’t just become one of the living dead (Humans who have lost the spirit of living in the monotony of the disliked work they keep doing for years for more and more)
In the book “The Secret by Rhonda Byrne”, the law of attraction which is a pseudo-scientific concept which always made partial sense until now. Now in my personal standpoint, the more you know about your vision or goal, the more you think about it which further motivates you to work towards it.
The truth is you can’t!!
