Hopes, Dreams, Hobbies, Ambitions, Fantasies (if you are as self-entertaining) turning into disappointments, sloughed shoulders, regrets, diminished time, struggle??
What’s going on here “the omnipresent”?
Nope, no answer still!
Have “You” ever wondered, what makes someone a good leader, a good athlete, a good businessness or a good writer.
Even if you haven’t wondered, just google it.
Each time the answer will be marry go-ing around perseverance.
So when the answer was so clearly out there, why not take it?
I decided to take it. I will have the most perseverance in the history of time. I will kick perseverance and have my own fancy new word defined for that kind of perseverance.
So I started making this pourri with an extra pinch of confidence and excitement that it’s going to turn out to be really tasty.
This excitement of having another word written on my kind of perseverance diminished and I was okay with just continuing to walk or slog or reach the end (FYI-which is still far far away).
No-one really answered the previous question, but this one I will.
1- Excitment faded- Every new thing is so exciting, there are so many things we want to achieve and we can literally feel its reality in our hands.
With excitement fading, the reasons to achieve something also fades.
And no reason equals no motivation.
2- Destination is far-far away- Today, I can see myself having a house and a luxury car if I reach my destination and tomorrow which is clearly not “that” day, I can’t even rent myself a flat.
So yes, it is far and it is blur.
3- Everyone is moving forward- Most of my friends have shifted to the states, some working hard to reach their goals. They all seem to be moving forward, some getting married, some having a lucrative career and some even having kids.
Here I am stagnant in this day, waiting for “That” day working 10 hours a day, not even sure where this is leading.
4- Slow like a sloth- The progress is in nano meters. The sum of it is Milli meters. Don’t expect to reach kilometers too soon.
5-Dual nature- I am a Gemini and if you have paid attention on those zodiac signs, they are suppose to have dual nature. Well being more rational to this, I think everyone has this dual nature.
That purple character breathing and suffocating you at that same time. Giving you reasons and questions to turn you in the descending direction which will clearly be less stressing.
6- Too much to give up– I have to give up friends, family, my this cute niece and that sweet dog. I can’t travel that often to meet my such good old friends. I can’t play board games all the time. (which is the saddest part).
What’s the point then?
Listening to perseverance videos will only give you an idea, it will not help you build the most important ingredient in the pourri.
And which is?
You gotta be thick skinned. Not rock hard who doesn’t give a shit about anything but more like an elephant.
Sensitive but too strong even for the veterinarian.
A little something?
—-An elephant notices each and every fly that lands on it, doesn’t necessary react.
P.S- Thick skinned doesn’t equal gaining weight for those extra layers.
Thankful to that!!
